Karen spent almost 2 years within a relatively closed religious group in the Eastern USA.  This book explores how simply cutting outside contact does nothing to address the issues that all within humanity face.  Attempting to adhere to strict religious rote and ritual exacerbates that which is already present internally. 


This book may be triggering for those who have experienced religious indoctrination and is written from a first person perspective.  It reveals why people would seek to escape the wider waking world and how it is simply not possible by swapping one lifestyle for another.
